A. Per City Code, sewer laterals, including main connection, are the responsibility of the homeowner from their house to the City’s sewer main.

Q. Why is my water off?
A. Your water may have been turned off for non-payment. If this is the case, a lock will have been placed on the curb stop in your meter box.

If this is not the case, then there may be a leak repair in your area, and the water was turned off to allow for the repair to be made. When repairs are made, Utilities' crews strive to keep the customer out of service for as short a time a possible. As we can’t predict when and where a line will break, please be patient with the crews while they make the repair.

Q. Why is my water bill so High?
A. You may have a water leak. Quite often the culprit is a leaking toilet. One way to check for a leak is to make sure that no one in the house is using water, and go check the water meter. There is a small red triangle on the meter face. If this is turning while no one is using water, then you have a leak on your side of the meter.
