Recycling Update due to COVID-19
The City of Northport will resume curbside recycling Monday, May 11, 2020.
Please help keep our sanitation workers healthy and safe by following a few guidelines:
- Bag all garbage.
- Do not place loose items in your garbage cart.
- Do not place garbage bags on top of the cart or beside the cart. The garbage cart is the shield that protects these workers!
- Double bag any leaking waste.
- Place any sharp medical waste, such as needles inside a sealed, rigid container, and then inside a garbage bag.
Thank you for understanding and please help us spread the word!
