Beginning May 20, 2020, the Northport Municipal Court will resume all scheduled court sessions. The following protocol shall be strictly adhered to upon entry to the Northport Department of Public Safety:

  1. Upon entry to the building, a court staff member will electronically take your temperature. If your body temperature registers above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, you will be denied entry into the building. A court staff member will issue you a notice to contact the court by phone to reschedule your court date.
  2. Once you are granted access to the courtroom, the court bailiff will direct you to a designated area where you will be required to stand 6 feet apart from other individuals in the courtroom.
  3. The Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention COVID-19 policies, as well as the COVID-19 Order from the State of Alabama, will be implemented and followed during all court sessions.
  4. Only a limited number of individuals will be allowed in the courtroom. Until your name is called for entry into the Department of Public Safety building, a court staff member will instruct you to a waiting area where all social distancing guidelines will be followed.
