The City of Northport will be closed Thursday, November 26th, and Friday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving holiday. All garbage, trash, and recycling routes will run as scheduled on Friday, November 27, 2020. Backyard pick up for garbage and recycling will run Friday, November 27, 2020.

The new Mt. Olive Road relocation to Rose Boulevard will open on Friday, November 20, 2020. The portion of Mt. Olive Road from the relocation to Highway 82 will be closed permanently beginning Monday, November 23rd.

Highway 69 at Union Chapel Road will have a lane closure between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. for the next few weeks due to road improvements in this area. All businesses will remain open. More updates will be posted as the construction progress continues. Please use caution in this area.

The proposal will be presented as a resolution accepting a 1% Sales Tax Report that defines how the extra tax revenue was allocated this year. Twin Oaks Road will be closed until further notice beginning Friday, June 5, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. This closure will last several months due to repairs to a culvert.
