Council Meeting Date Change

The 1st Council meeting of July will be held on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.  This change is due to the fact that the City will observe the July 4th holiday on Monday, July 5th.

Façade Improvement Program

The Northport Redevelopment Authority is encouraging revitalization of the City's major commercial corridors, historic downtown, and riverfront.  The NRDA, in partnership with the City of Northport, will utilize a Façade Improvement Program (FIP) to provide financial assistance for exterior building renovations in Northport.  The deadline for receipt of applications in this initial round of grant funding opportunities is August 1, 2021.  Please click here to download the Project Overview.  To download an application please click here.

Road Closures

30th Avenue near Main Avenue is temporarily closed due to debris in the road.  Crews are being dispatched to the scene for cleanup. 

A portion of Eagle Lake Street is closed due to a downed tree. 

Union Chapel Road 300 yards east of Barnes Settlement Road to Chapel Wood Drive is closed.

24th Avenue is closed from Main Avenue to 9th Street

Clearlake Street is closed from Hwy 69N to Twin Lakes Court

The southern end of Main Avenue will be closed to thru traffic, including pedestrian traffic, beginning Monday, January 18th.  Access will be maintained to local businesses and residences.  The closure is expected to last several months.  To view a map of the road closure click here.

Twin Oaks Road will be closed until further notice beginning Friday, June 5, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. This closure will last several months due to repairs to a culvert. Please visit Public Notices to view a map for the closure location and to make plans to detour around this portion of Twin Oaks Road.
