The City of Northport will be closed Monday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. All garbage, trash, and recycling routes that were scheduled for Monday will be picked up on Friday, July 8th. All garbage, trash, and recycling must be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on pickup day.
The regularly scheduled Council Meeting for Monday, July 4th has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 7th at noon.
Separate sealed Bids for Furnishing One 72" Zero Turn Lawnmower are being received by the City of Northport Public Works Department. All sealed bids must be received by 9:00 a.m. (local time), July 6, 2022. Effective Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Public Works work hours will move to a 4-day week, 10-hours per day work schedule. Their new hours will be Monday through Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. All Friday Garbage, Trash, and Recycling routes will be picked up on Thursdays. All backyard pickups and recycling bin deliveries will be moved to Tuesday.
