All interested parties are urged to attend the Public Forum to discuss the Tuscaloosa County School System's proposed access road that will go behind the TCHS Baseball field and Northport Elementary School. Representatives will be present to answer questions and concerns.

The City of Northport Fire Department will begin flushing fire hydrants and performing annual maintenance throughout the city. There will be some cloudy or discoloration of water while hydrant flushing is in progress, however, there are no health risks with this process.
Why does the city need to flush fire hydrants? Annual flushing of fire hydrants and maintenance is necessary to provide water and fire protection for our citizens.
What to expect? Customers may experience discoloration in their water during flushing. If you experience discolored water, run your cold water tap for several minutes or until the water is clear. If you continue to have issues please call 205-342-3636, Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or after hours 205-333-3017.

The southern end of Main Avenue will be closed to thru traffic, including pedestrian traffic, beginning Monday, January 18th. Access will be maintained to local businesses and residences. The closure is expected to last between eight and ten weeks. To view a map of the road closure click here.
Twin Oaks Road will be closed until further notice beginning Friday, June 5, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. This closure will last several months due to repairs to a culvert. Please visit Public Notices to view a map for the closure location and to make plans to detour around this portion of Twin Oaks Road.
