The City of Northport Utilities Department would like to recommend to all businesses that have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic to flush their water lines to avoid potential hazards in your water. Flushing plumbing is essential before reoccupying. Flushing water lines and water-using appliances is an easy way to ensure that high water quality is maintained. It moves older water, that has been sitting in pipes, out of the building, and brings in fresh water.
