POLICE RECORDS

The Records division is responsible for control of all active and archived police reports and related information. The records office is located in the main lobby of the Northport Public Safety Facility at 3721 26th Avenue, Northport, AL. The contact phone number is (205) 333-3033. Office hours are 8:00am til 5:00pm Monday through Friday except on holidays. Records division is also responsible for arranging fingerprinting of Citizens who are applying for professional licensing as Educators, Attorneys, etc. This service is available at the front desk of the Police Department, also located in the main lobby.  

 

Note: The Police Department no longer performs Public Housing Background checks

 

Public Fingerprinting days and hours

Fingerprinting is performed by front desk personnel in the main lobby on Tuesdays from 1:00pm until 4:30pm, and Thursdays from 1:00pm until 4:30pm. Cost is $3.00 per set of prints and persons needing prints taken must furnish their applicant print cards. Payment must be made to the Records office prior to having prints taken.
