MEDIA RELATIONS

The department Public Information Officer is responsible for making routine news releases and promoting positive relations with all media organizations. To accomplish this, he/she develops and maintains open communications with all local media and news outlets including print and broadcast media. The media officer’s daily schedule includes regular briefings to media organizations on routine crime events and other matters of public interest or concern. Lt.
