UNDERGROUND LINE LOCATIONS

The City of Northport has an Underground Utility Damage Prevention Program.This program is in place to help prevent damage to underground utilities, injury, or even death. Call before you dig to have water and sewer utilities located. We ask all excavators to give us at least 48 hours prior notification of their intent to excavate any area where underground utilities might exist. If any water and sewer utilities exist, the City of Northport will mark the location of their underground facilities in that area. Water utilities will be painted blue and Sewer utilities will be painted green. Damage to underground utilities by excavators without prior notice of intent to excavate will result in payment by the excavator for cost to correct and/or replace damaged facilities.
