The Northport Water Treatment Plant and Distribution System is one of the premier water systems in the state of Alabama.  It still remains one of the fastest growing systems in our state.  The Water Treatment Plant was awarded the Best Operated in 1995, 1996, and 1997.  It has also been nominated by ADEM for the EPA Region IV Award of Excellence in 1997.

  •   Classification - ADEM Surface Water, Grade IV

  •   Average Daily Flow - 3.6 MGD
  •   Number of Meter Sets - 9,450 active accounts
  •   Number of Active Customers - 9,400
  •   Miles of Distribution Mains - 200+
  •   Storage - 5.8 MG
  •   Hydraulic Elevations - 445', 400' & 360'
