The Northport Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System is one of the premier wastewater systems in the state of Alabama, providing an extremely high degree of treatment such that the treated effluent is cleaner than the waters of the receiving stream. This is accomplished through the discharge parameters set by EPA and ADEM. These parameters are the most stringent in the state of Alabama.
